Good TV Series?

I love the fantasy genre and am addicted to game of thrones but I can honestly say breaking bad is immeasurably better. That show is the best I've ever seen. And if you watch it now, you'll catch up in time for the live airing of the final 8 episodes!

In my opinion you should watch Band of Brothers. It's a miniseries about a paratrooping company in WW2 D-day and the days following.

..and if you enjoy this then The Pacific is an absolute must. Made by the same people and follows a us marine company in the pacific re-conquest in WW2.

My highfalutin earlier riposte notwithstanding, Band of Brothers is excellent.

As is Game Of Thrones (demonstrably superior to Breking Bad, though the latter is also excellent), Six-feet Under, the West Wing, Justified (and undiscovered hit), Sopranos and the best of the lot, the Wire.

Television has not and will not see any TV series like 'the wire' ever again. Must-see TV!

Coincidentally I've just started watching Breaking Bad (after MANY recommendations) I'm struggling with it, but I keep watching it hoping for something to happen. I think the characters are good in it, and I'm only up to series 2 episode 5, so I'm hoping it gets better.

You're halfway through series 2 and still waiting/hoping for it to get better?! Blimey, I think I'll give that a miss then...

If a show hasn't grabbed me within a few episodes I'll knock it on the head.

It is one of those that gets better for some; not all.

Personally, i had little time or tolerance for it as i couldn't deal with another 'swords-and-sandals, fantasy epic' but how wrong was i?

It is Sopranos-meets-middle-earth

I must admit I was not hooked until episode 5 or 6.

I'm not going to say GoT is crap/boring because it isn't my type of thing but it must be half-decent to have so many followers and fans!

In terms of Prison Break, as clever and brilliant as it was, I think Season 3 (the season where Michael is in prison in Panama) is pointless and repetitive, I still enjoyed it but it wasn't really necessary.

Prison Break season 1 is amazing The rest are meh

Disagree, Season 1 and 4 of Prison Break are great, 2 was probably needed as a follow up but 3 was completely pointless as noted by artist
