Good news for those without Sky Sports, but bad news for the rest of us. ITV have increased their portfolio of darts events, including the UK Open and a new tournament for the top 16 only - The Masters...

Of course it is good to have as many of the darts tournaments on TV as we can, but ITV4 coverage has never inspired me, in fact I would put it below ESPNs (but of course far ahead of the mess that is BBCs coverage of the BDO.)

The Masters- I like the sound of that.
I heard John Gwynne is quitting Sky's darts coverage?
Why can't ITV give darts coverage on ITV1?
I mean they'll fill any useless slot with some terrible comedy or Paul O'Grady and dogs, ffs!
Sky's coverage has made the darts better, although I'll be watching the same players if the coverage is worse then it makes you feel like you're watching a lower stan

I really like ITV coverage to my surprise. Chris Mason is an excellent pundit, gets the balance just right for the casual viewer avoiding blinding them with science or talking down to them.

Agree that the Masters seems a bit pointless. Would rather they got the grand slam back
