I think one of the main reasons for our failings last season, was simply because the lack in squad depth. This season, I think it'll be a lot better. We've recalled a couple of our successful loanees in De Bruyne and Lukaku, hopefully Omerou will follow them, Essien is back as well.
Then consider, we've got a new player in Schurrle, who is very versatile, can play on both wings and even upfront. We have Romeu coming back from injury (who I really rate).
Compare our current 25 man squad to last years, it is already far superior.
Torres, Ba, Lukaku, Hazard, Mata, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Moses, Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Luiz, Romeu, Cole, Bertrand, Terry, Ivanovic, Cahill, Omerou, Azpilicueta, Cech, Blackman, Marin, (Homegrown goalkeeper).
That would be a squad that matches EUFA's 25 man squad, including 8 homegrown players.
Using that as your base, what changes would you make, ins and outs?

Only changes I will make is:
- Lukaku out on loan, and bring in a top CF. If it is not possible leave it as it is.
- + a new CM (Van Gikel, Modric)
- + a new back up goalie
With those changes, and with Mourinho in charge we stand a good chance of winning the title. If we get a top CF I think we will be in with a great chance!

I'm sure Mourinho is fully aware that Ba Torres & lukaku simply don't stack up against their 2 rivals Van Persie Rooney Hernandez Tevez Aguero Dzeko

Ah I forgot about Ake! Interesting to see if the other two are included, they are both u21, so wouldn't matter for squad positions.
