Broner and Malignaggi go head to head at the Barclay's center tonight for the WBA welterweight title and this could prove to be a very interesting fight.
Malignaggi holds a record of 32 wins and 4 losses. He has been around for a while and is a very good boxer. He has the speed and movement to trouble any fighter and he has the experience which his opponent doesn't have. It's fair to say Malignaggi does lack consistency in his performances, but when he's on from he is a dangerous fighter.
Broner has been dubbed the new floyd, and he isn't one to shy away from the spotlight much like his idol.He currently holds a record of 26 wins 0 losses, with 22 KO's.It's clear to see Broner doesn't lack power, and he isn't exactly slow either. He has very underrated defense and he is no doubt a special talent. But he is coming up two weight classes and it will be very interesting to see if this has any real affect on him.
Prediction:
The smart moneys on Broner but he is fighting at a weight that Malignaggi is more comfortable at,and the standard of opponents Broner has faced is questionable.Malignaggi has faced the likes of Cotto,Khan and Hatton so he knows what it takes.I feel Malignaggi has the ability to cause an upset here especially in front of his home crowd, but if Broner can make the transition to welterweight without any problems i expect him to win.
Broner by Unanimous decision.

Malignaggi just doesn't have the punching power to keep Broner off him imo. He's quick, slick and has a big heart, but Broner will wear him down.
Broner by a wide UD and Paulie may het beat up in the process.

Malignaggi destroyed Broner when it came to a slanging match but Broner is naturally a welterweight and was taking easy pickings against smaller fighters in lower weight divisions so this is his first test against a natural welter.
However the lack of power will allow Broner to win by 2-3 rounds and Malignaggi will call it a day to move into his new commentary career.

think broner could win inside the distance tbh, 9/10th round KO

Paulie wont win a round let alone this fight being close. Broner by mid to late stoppage in a one sided fight.

Paulie has the experience also has the heart and a great chin.
Broner defense has problems though Paulie lacks the power to really hurt Broner, but he is accurate and could open up a cut.
Paulie does struggle with speed, and Broner is fast and has good combos.
Think this one will go the distance with Broner taking it by 3/4 rounds.
