Well here we go!! Every season is obviously important but I feel this one is maybe more important than many over the past few years. We need to get out of this division and start the long climb back from obscurity - and it must start today against Rochdale!!
We have to try to make Hillsborough a tough place for every team to visit, last season we dropped far too many points at home and this is what killed any decent runs we had.
GM has signed some quality players and the defence and midfield look very solid, both areas were problems last year. Up front we have two strikers who are both capable of scoring plenty with the right service, but we are thin on the bench, so lets hope everyone stays fit until Meggo can add a few more faces. We are lacking a bit of pace, but we are very physical and will be difficult to break down.

It was a good performance, 1st half Rochdale looked lively and pacey with good movement and we coped with them. Contrast with last year's midfield was stark. Well organised, good shape, good game plan, worked hard

We looked a lot better than last season, sound in defence & solid in midfield,Prutton & Samedo ran the show. Not being negative but both goals came as a result of set pieces, i know GMs trying to sign forwards, lets hope he can before to long, maybe its just me but i cant think of to many chances from open play but i"ll take a few more results like that till the striker situation gets sorted.

Brilliant send off for me, cheers lads! Unspectacular but good solid first 45 was followed by a poor start to the second half, but we got our act together and bar the odd half chance Rochdale never really troubled us. We still look weak up front. Man of the match for me was Prutton, he was immense in the middle. Rob Jones was quality and even Sedgwick played well. All in all, a job well done. Roll on 2012!

Looked a lot more solid at the back ( not really tested by Rochdale tho',,)
Prutton..

Semedo also
Doesn't expel as much steam as JoC but immeasurably more effective. Right place, right time - time and time again.
