Why does the example of a tough game always have to be Stoke on a wet Tuesday evening ?

Whats wrong with Tuesdays or Stoke for that matter ?? Personally I love playing footie in the rain.

I'd much rather have to play at Stoke on a wet Tuesday than play in the conditions we saw last night in Brazil where players could hardly breathe in the extreme heat and humidity.

Because in that case you'd never have an English player who'd cut it.
