The other day I was with my girlfriend and the dreaded conversation of marriage come up, she started talking and joking about the engagement ring and I said, "so, I buy you this ring which costs £1k+ and what do I get" her reply was rubbish in my opinion and she said "you get a happy wife to be and then a happy wife" and that got me thinking, the wedding is all women dream about, the big day etc, but what do guys actually get out of it? other than a nasty payout when you get divorced after shes either had an affair or done something else....

so the question is,

Marriage, What do men benefit from it??
