After the latest fail In the transfer market, who's next.
I've looked on a few websites and all is quite, no names have surface as to whom we are chasing at the moment surely, we have a plane B.
Any news lads?
So who's next?

Id rather we got a LB and a DM for the 25 million quoted for mhki to be honest.
Enrique needs the competition for his spot, our next best LB is actually our best RB, and is then followed by downing being able to do a job there also, before we dip into the reserves for jack robinson who is probably off on loan again this year.
We need a good LB, one who will probably get 30+ games a season (including cups) but also push Enrique to perform for the whole season, currently he has no impetus to perform, he is one of the first names on every team sheet because we have no other options.
Luke Shaw would be a good shout an cost around 10mil, or perhaps Ben Davies of Swansea
Sort of the same with Lucas (although I believe both Allen and Henderson can do a job in the middle) but I would like us to have an all action powerful midfielder for when teams like stoke are pushing us off the park, activating Diame's release clause of 3? million would be well worth it. He destroyed us in midfield this season and could certainly do a job on a rotational basis.

Schneiderlin
Not saying he's a bad player but nowhere near good enough for us. What we have is already better.

I will bow to your superior knowledge of european youngsters, i have to admit that since we dropped out of the CL i haven't kept as up-to-date with the top youth around.
I highly rate Luke Shaw however and still think that for the 25million mooted for Mhki we could land him and diame, However im sure there are plenty of other players in either position we could go for, the fact Luke Shaw is an Englishman is a big draw for me, they tend to stick around long term at the top English clubs.
in any case, the fact is we dont need another attacker, and if BR feels we do, id rather take eriksen for 8million than the armenian for 25mil.

It's all beginning to unravel, we missed out on Mkhitaryan and are in danger of losing Suarez, and there are no top quality players likely to want to come to replace him if he goes.

We do need another attacker.
Goals win games, season after season it's the teams with the most variation in attack who win the prizes.
Spurs missed out last season because they lacked attacking options, and they still have as much if not more depth than we do right now.
We scored a lot of goals last season but most were in big wins. We need more match winners in tight games.
I am not saying our defence doesn't need work too, and our defensive midfield cover, but quality depth in attack is the most expensive and best place to start IMO.
I know the old adage is 'start at the back' but personally I don't buy that in the current English game. None of the top teams have defended that well for 5 years, and the same goes across Europe.
Everywhere you look teams play expansive, attacking football, and the fact is our defence wasn't that bad last season, keeping plenty of clean sheets.

Unravel? Only someone who believes every single thing written could think that. You really are a gullible drama queen, aren't you?

i cant see how we fit in another attacker, but that is not to say that if a quality option is availiable we should not take it.
I do however believe at the very minimum we need another left back, Enrique is all pace and power, but i think a better left back could also offer a greater goal threat.
i.e. Ashley cole in his prime or Baines sheer number of assists over the years.
Infact while im a big fan of enrique for his physical presence and speed getting up and down the flanks statistically he wouldnt stand up to many attacking full backs in terms of his actual control or chance creation.
That said a team cannot be all flair, you need your grafters and enrique is an absolute bull.
