Chelsea will walk the league with Rooney

This is going to seriously cripple man united challenge next season. Fans can say all they want about shreck but he is a beast in the prem and still provides opposing fans with that "fear factor"

I know for sure, each time we played united he is one player I fear the most.

Is Chelsea keep the current squad and add the likes of Rooney I honestly can't see beyond them for the title.

Mercenary?

If that was the case he would have went to City.

Henry, Fabregas, RVP all left because of ambition, ambition that Arsenal lacked.

Or he had heard that Mancini was a/hole with the players and wanted to be first choice. Not stuck behind Augero.

Henry left because of his divorce case.

Cesc left to return home and thats why we included those clauses.

RVP left for money.

When you want to debate Arsenal, be careful not to do it with an ex-shareholder.

ex-shareholder.

A nice little earner by all accounts.

RVP favored Man Utd from the off.

Henry wanted a champions league.

Cesc does want to return home but Arsenal don't seem to want him.

"Henry, Fabregas, RVP all left because of ambition, ambition that Arsenal lacked."

The fact that you put Henry in that sentence shows how clueless you are.

I don't understand why an intelligent poster like Jenius is actually entertaining you.

We don't know! According to the latest rumours, Barca want Mata and will release Cesc to return to Arsenal.

Chelsea are mad because they NEVER offered Mata and Man Utd made it up. Very different to how it used to be done under Gill. Now Chelsea are digging in their heels over Rooney and the new vice-chair is running home to smooth things over. Man Utd want Mata or Luiz not that Chelsea were offering those players.

Moyes and Woodward are very unprofessional compared to Gill/Fergie.

"I didn't arrive at Barcelona just to win the
Champions League but to win everything,"
said Henry.

oh please! He is hardly going to say that I am going through a messy divorce that involves me losing custody of my daughter so I want to run away to Barcelona.

I'm just going by what the players say.

Lying seems to run right through Arsenal, if you are right.

Jenius
Don't bother with this clown. Your words are wasted on him.

"There is a big assumption that they can keep RVP fit all season. There were plenty of times last year when Man Utd were struggling and needed Rooney to put them over the edge. They would need to invest in a striker willing to play second fiddle to RVP."

To be fair, Van Persie's appeared in every Premiership match for his respective teams over the past 2 seasons, which suggests he has largely overcome the injury problems that used to stifle him in the past.
Even still, in the event that they have an injury to the Dutchman, they have Welbeck and Hernandez as cover.

I appreciate Welbeck has come in for some ridicule after his poor goal return during the last season, but it should be noted that most of his appearances came out of position down the flanks. He may not be prolific or have the technical ability of Rooney, but I'd argue Welbeck is a lot more mobile, better in the air, and can hold-up play much better than his compatriot.

I'm not a huge fan of Hernandez, but to his credit, he has played the lone striker role pretty effectively for Mexico on the international scene as of late. He may not have the best all-round game, but he's very fast, hard-working, and a great finisher in and around the box.

For me, Rooney has been very underwhelming over the last year or so; he seems to have lost pace and directness, which has taken a lot from his game. In terms of providing cover for Van Persie, I don't think United would be hit as badly as people make out should Rooney leave.
