At age 40, Westfield has now the best opportunity ever to win a major, finishing day 3 at the top of the leaderboard.
Final round pairings:
Westwood -3, Mahan -1
Woods -1, Scott E
A Cabrera +1, Ryan Moore +1
Z Johnson +1, Stenson +1
Mickelson +2, F Molinari +2
Garcia +3, Snedekar +3
J Donaldson +3, H Matsuyama +3
J Day +3, D Johnson +3
Jiminez +3, R Cabrera +4
I reckon players currently standing at up to +3 have a decent chance of winning.
Would have liked Westy and Tiger pairing. It's rather unusual, but Lee scores better than Tiger when they are paired.

My original 5 players most likely to win at Muirfield this weekend:
Adam Scott (how did he manage to drop the jug last year!)
Jason Day (so close in so many majors)
Tiger Woods (can't ever write him off)
Brandt Snedeker (it's about time)
GMac (in the habit of suddenly shining in majors)

Unless Phil does something terribly wrong on the 18th, he has the jug.

Westwood just keeps missing his chances

That's the shot that could seal it. Westwood or Scott need a big last couple of holes

Way to go Phil. Positive play.

Very few would have predicted Phil to win this tournament.

Westwood will remember this painful loss for years.

5 shot lead over Mickelson and finished 4 behind. Ouch. Dreadful final round

Well done Phil. A fine player who also seems like a good guy.

Easy to see why. Phil -5 and Westy +4 for the day.
Hats off to Phil for winning this after the heart-breaking loss at the US Open.
He shook hands with dozens of fans on his walk to the 18th hole and singed autographs for a longtime as he waited for others to complete. He is a class act.
