RIP Bert and thanks for the sentiment Hounslow , the one thing about this forum is the respect paid by all fans to rival clubs departing players. Well may it continue and give yourselves a pat on the back as well everyone.

RIP Bert, indeed a true legend. I just explained to one of my Scottish colleagues who had never heard of Bert Trautman despite being a football fan in his late Thirties.
Some legends in football transcend national inter city rivalries, Bert was one of them.
