Commons looks a wee bit chunky, I think the early start to the season caught a few players out. Another couple of games and they will be fine.

read an article on Commons last week and he claimed it was muscle after hitting the gym. I'm not quite so convinced.

Aberdeen parked the bus today, we done well to grind out the win, prefer Commons on the left though he looks more dangerous there, sure that will be the case when Broony \o/ is back

James_Mc,
I wouldn't say Aberdeen parked the bus, they played 4-4-2. But Celtic did do well to grind out the win. They were poor. Until Commons loses a stone or two he should be dropped. Central defence looked dodgy again and against a better attacking team than Aberdeen I think the keeper would have been very busy.
I think you should be very glad you got all three points today but concerned about the games coming up. Hopefully things will begin to click but if they don't bad things may happen.

good to see the establishment propaganda machine is in full working order...

My name is Bond
Again I hear our defence look dodgy from you and you think unless things change bad thongs are going to happen
Nay I remind you we have not conceded a goal do far and please don't come back with we have not played hard teams yet, as Hibs away and Aberdeen away can always big tricky games
Yes we are not playing well but today there was only one team in it and the 3 points were 100% correct as Aberdeen did try to park the bus, which was there fault as we did break through, and they were at home
So as for your comments I will take on board but only fir a second as the season had just started and like it or not we are top of the league from under performing so I know things are looking up

Jinky,
all "thongs" are bad unless worn by a well-shaped young lady.
Anyway, I am no Rangers fan. I'm just trying to be objective.
As for only one team in it, I agree that Aberdeen were poor and couldn't string two passes together. But Celtic hardly set the heather alight either. At 0-0 in the second half, Aberdeen had the best chance of the match when their striker only had to make contact with the ball from a yard out with the keeper nowhere. He missed the ball. Now that was a sitter. If it had gone in I'm not sure Celtic would have come back.
Aberdeen also had a great chance before that when Zaliukas made a great stretching save.
Celtic had a load of efforts at goal and had most possession but they never really had any great chances.
And your defence does look dodgy. Admittedly Matthews looked very good and Mulgrew did what he had to do. Wilson though hardly got a mention in the first half. He hardly touched the ball. In the second half he did well in most situations, but he did make some wrong decisions. Masterovic was strong and solid as usual but also made mistakes. How any times did he let the ball go over his head and allow the Aberdeen player in. He was lucky he managed to get good last ditch tackles in to save himself.
To end this let me predict
a) that Celtic will let in more goals than they did last season - and not just one or two.
b) Wilson will not play every game as Lennon tries to get a good pairing at CB on the park.
c) And that Celtic will win the league.

Captain Daddy Puppy,
C'mon, you have to admit that Commons looked overweight today. I'm sure he must be about a stone at least heavier than last season.
"good to see the establishment propaganda machine is in full working order..."
What is that all about? What has Common's weight and me commenting on it have to do with the establishment or propaganda?
Please explain yourself. And also please tell me that Commons is skinny.
