Grella on £30K a week

According to the Mirror via BBC some of our chaps are on £xxxx a week plus appearance fee!

I wish I had negotiated an appearance fee on top of my salary if I turned up at the office any particular week!

Grella is on 30K flat per week plus 6K if he plays. If only it was 6K flat and 30K for every game he plays!

What do the powers that be think Grella does for £30K if he does not exert himself for 90 minutes a week.

I thought I could not be surprised anymore by what goes on in football but appearance fees on top of £30K a week. Staggering.

Do you have Sky walkdenrover? Because thats where the money for Rovers players wages is coming from. Doesn't come from season ticket holders anymore after our massive price reductions. I find players wages as obsence as the next man but the simple answer is everyone stop getting Sky Sports and clubs won't have this kind of money to blow on players.

I think you mis read that one Mr Suarez.

21k a week was the sum paid for Andrews indigestion relief when Sam was manager...

I'm wondering how to be positive about any of this. £1.5m a year to have Grella sit on a treatment table - hope most of it is insured

B+WH has it right - its the Sky money that drives the wages and I do disagree with the amount paid. £40 a month to see the players play - rather get on the pitch myself. Amazing how many people are wedded to the payments though.

Don't get the Sky thing either at £40 a month or whatever it is.

Not like Rovers feature much anyway. Go to home games anyway so complete waste of money in my books.

I think the point of this article has been missed, Venkys releasing confidential information to sell players!

Not bothered, it's about time that someone exposed these wasters

If it's against employment law then I'm bothered...

If the club were to produce a £ per minutes worked table then fine, it'd make interesting reading. I hear Denise the cleaner sometimes takes 6 minutes for a ciggy break rather than the allotted 5, it should be revealed!

I remember reading about Vince in a programme. He was asked what he was currently reading and what his favourite book was, and his answer was I dont like reading. So I guess he does not spend his wages on books.
