I see the phrase 'Unknown French Kids' is being hurled about by our own fans and opposition alike as some kind of horrible insult. I just don't see how. So far signing 'unknown French kids' as been nothing but successful.
Nobody was complaining about these transfers when the players were Henry, Pires, Vieira, Petit, Nasri, Sagna, Clichy, Koscielny, Wiltord, Anelka.
Now what I can't understand is why Chamakh has turned into some kind of media joke when awful transfers like Andy Carroll and Stewert Downing have been covered up by the media.
A free transfer who scored a few goals and then was naturally replaced by a rampant van Persie - thats Chamakh. Not some awful striker who can't score. Really. Yes he isn't good enough for Arsenal but he's definitely better than a lot of other players.
In fact the only thing he did wrong was take up wages.
Chamak hate. Is it justified?

He really linked up well with Wilshere. Brought out some of Wilshere's best moments with him in his breakout season

Chamakh in the early days had a good touch, did some nice flicks and passes, good shot and was decent in the air. Then van Persie came back and he was never heard of again.

He's a good player awful striker. So basically he's shït as he isn't good enough to be a playmaker winger or a goal scorer.

He was a good player and worked hard, went downhill once RVP came back.

Not sure about the list of "unknown French players" in the OP. Clichy okay, but even Anelka had already buiot a big rep, chased by all the biggest clubs. The likes of Henry, Pires and Wiltord had won major international honours while Henry and Vieira had already had one big transfer.
