Each year there seems to be a couple of players who seemingly come from nowhere and perform really well. Whether they sustain it is another matter.... cough... Chubby Charlie Adams....
Last year we had a few - Michu, Benteke, Lambert. Who do we think the breakout stars of 2013/14 might be?
Bony has made a good start to life at Swansea, he could be one. Gomis at Newcastle is another who could make an impact. Ramirez at Soton has had a year to settle now, could be another. In terms of young players we have Sterling and Ibe, Utd have Zaha.
Who are your exceeding expectation predictions?

Never seen Chadli play BLC - is he a winger or more of a wide forward?

He's a wide forward, to be fair I've only seen him play against us but his record is pretty impressive.
I think Ince would do well in the prem, seems like he wants to stay near his family for now though.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned another player, coming from nowhere, and setting the stage alight. Step forward please Mr. Jordan Ibe. (Or should that be Master; he hasnt reached majority yet)

Allen and Aspas.
Both really good players, just very underrated

Jimmy, I mentioned Ibe in the opening post! I don't think he'll make a huge impact though, not because of his talent but because I can't see him playing a lot of games. He'll contribute as part of of squad but I don't see him making a huge splash.
Chambers, I don't really rate Aspas in any way - I haven't seen him play yet! Hopefully most will give him half a season before making any type of judgement.

Ibe won't play enough.
For me Sterling is the guy to watch as well as Aspas!
Non LFC I would say Ramires for chelsea, sissoko for newcastle and Mirallas for Everton

Sterling how can you say Aspas can't play when you haven't seen him play, it beats me

Hey?! When did I say Aspas can't play. Actually I'll answer that for you, I never have.
I said I didn't rate him in any way, i.e I have no opinion on him at the moment. Maybe I could have phrased it better but I would hope the context of my post (e.g. people should judge him for 6 months) would have made my thoughts clear.

Sterling, I disagree. Apologies for not picking him up in your original post. What he has shown, in a vein very similar to Sterling himself last season, is a maturity, balance, poise, speed of thought as well as movement that has earned him, hopefully, into being retained at Melwood. I've just seen the game, I absolutely loved seeing wee Jay coming on and playing his heart out for the team. Jordan Henderson: absolutely no surprises, he runs his heart out every game. It surprises more than disappoints me that he attracts so much negative reviews. He is desperate to win for LFC. Aspas, and I will say it again is a man on a mission, he looks a great signing. Jose, it has to be said, is not good enough if we are to progress. His name is not Messi, nor Iniesta, nor Xabi, so why does he continue to try - and fail - to dribble his way out of trouble? Greatest of all? God returning, to his beloved Anfield.
