Cesc is coming

I believe that Cesc is on his way to united. Here is why:

The fact that the Barca manager has gone back on the statement that he made initially where he said that Cesc would not be allowed to leave is very telling. I believe that his new statement that Cesc will have the finally say on whether or not he will stay or be sold is a strong hint that Cesc is pushing for an exit.

Why would Martino say that Cesc would not be sold only to back track on that in less than a week? He is a new manager and does not want his first bit of business to be selling a top player... unless Fabregas is really pushing hard for an exit behind the scenes.

The fact that Martino has now put the responsibility for this decision upon Fabregas is most likely his way of putting all of the blame on Cesc for his exit. He does not want to be seen by the supporters as a manager who has sold their player, he wants Fabregas to be seen as the player who pushed for a move away from Barca.

I think most of the fans on ja606 have realised this summer that Arsenal fans have the highest percentage of unts on here. Get there knickers in a twist so easily

If Cesc wasn't interested he'd have made a statement by now. He's certainly tempted. It's just whether we can reach an agreement.

If Cesc wanted to come to United he would have made the move by now,he can't be unaware that you have made two bids for him, both him and Barca have stated its not going to happen, look elsewhere and stop wasting time and effort on a lost cause,or can you not get to grips with a player turning United down.

When did Cesc say it wasn't happening?

Why oh why do gooners care ffs?! And why on earth do they believe that their club is actually relevant to us! I couldn't give a flying fook if cesc comes or not but it would be great fun to watch these idiot gooners go into meltdown if he did actually sign...be even better if a few jumped off a cliff to save us all from their utter drivel which is posted on a daily basis

The funny thing is, as much as most reds want this to happen, I think the Arsenal fans don't want it to happen even more. To think they believe he won't go to United out of loyalty to Arsenal is quite frankly hilarious.

Oh, the quote from 6 or 7 weeks ago, where he didnt mention United and before we had even bid for him? So why nothing since then? Why no reaffirmation that he is staying put? Why hasn't he said that he'd never join another PL team other than Arsenal and that United have no chance? It's plain to see that he is thinking this move over. Ultimately I think he'll stay at Barca, but he's having a long hard think about this possible transfer.

I think the quotes from the Barca manager today have been the first real inkling that the deal could happen.

Before today I felt as if our bids were not realistically in the right ball park to tempt Barca to sell, however from the manager's comments today it looks like Barca are ready to accept a bid.

Obviously this is still just speculation and there is no guarantee that Cesc wants to join us, but it is definitely a glimmer of hope.

They're just haggling over price. £40-45m and it's a done deal.
