Arsenal are on the verge of completing their second signing of the transfer window bringing in young German Matthias Ginter from Freiburg.
The Gunners were expected to spend big this summer, with their pursuit of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez on-going and potential moves for Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Everton’s Marouane Fellaini also widely reported.
However, so far the only addition to the north Londoners squad is French Under-21 striker Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer.
Ginter is hardly likely have the Emirates faithful jumping with excitement either, but manager Arsene Wenger is confident the versatile 19-year-old will prove a shrewd acquisition.
Ginter is comfortable either in defence or midfield and made 21 appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
According to reports the two clubs have agreed a fee in the region of £6million and the player is expected in north London this week to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms.
Personaly I'd prefer the money to go towards a buying an established world class player

After seeing you big up the dutch youngsters during the recent U21 championship, I have learnt to take your ratings of young players with a huge scoop of salt.
