Just read the article with Cesc committing his future to Barca. His comments are pure class: "Stories have been invented. I was never given any sign from the club to make me think they didn't want me, I have always felt wanted here."
Why can't Bale come out and make such a statement, either one way or the other?? People on here have praised him for his silence but IMO it shows a complete lack of class (and balls), as well as a lack of respect for the fans.
He should have come out and told us exactly want he wants to do. There's nothing wrong with wanting play for Madrid!! Afterall Ronaldo made it clear he wanted to play for Madrid while still playing for United
Whether he stays or goes, I hold him in much lower esteem as a person than I did before this "saga". That doesn't take away from I think of him as a player though
PS This is my first and last article on the Bale saga
Fabregas... class!!

I think Bale done the right thing, AVB commented on the situation, there is no need for Bale to say anything. just imo.

I think the praise for his silence applies if he actually wants to leave.

Cesc's future has been under the microscope for like 6 weeks and he has only come out now and clarified his future. Probably because Barca have begged him to stay after losing Thiago. In my opinion he has used the media to manipulate Barca into giving him assurances over his future. Now that he has got them, he has decided to go public.
He can come across as class, but he isn't really class at all.

Of course he's desperate to stay! Barca are his boyhood club and he spent ages yearning to move back 'home', at a club where he can challenge for all the major honours. He even took a pay cut to go back there and he's surely well aware that xavi's powers are on the wane and he'll start more and more games in the CM position. Bales situation is entirely different to that

^ agree with last post entirely.
Fabregas is at the top of his career moves already, it doesn't get bigger than Barca, and he states he is wanted there and happy to stay - if course he is.
Bale on the other hand has no Champions League again and is sought after by the best clubs in Europe. He has yet to make his career best move. As a Spurs fan I hope he stays for at least a year, but I can understand his silence. He has probably received advice to remain quiet on this one way or the other.
