The Striker Situation

Here's my take on our current predicament.

Schalke have said and Lennon has confirmed that they do want to sell Pukki even though he doesn't get a regular game. We have/are about to put in a sensible offer (roughly £2.5m) but I'm fairly sure that it wont get a look in. That will leave us with no new striker for the play off.

We'll then wait to see how the play off goes. If we qualify (2nd leg Aug 28), it leaves us with roughly 3-4 days in a transfer free for all to sign one/two strikers. I think that will increase the chances of us offering close to £5m for The Iceman, whose Dutch club (unlike Schalke) are willing to do business at the right price.

If we don't make the Champions League, fluck knows we'll see any new striker.
