Serious question. I personally think in a game like todays Rooney would be better for adding a bit of fight back

I think our problems go far deeper than that.
You could fit a marching band between the midfield and defence at times during the match, allowing Agbonlahor and Benteke all the space they needed to run riot.
We don't have a natural DM and with Mertesacker in the side, I feel we play too deep. We also really lacked directness in the final third when Chamberlain came off.
As much as a new striker would help, I feel we'd be better off focusing on bringing in a new DM, a new wideman, and a new centre-back.

Or maybe we could sign Me-chew from Swansea

Suarez to Arsenal for 39.999.999.99 million pound

Suarez would constantly be looking to unsettle defences and score goals. Rooney would be less selfish but also less likely to fight for the cause. Suarez has more bite.
But can't see either going to Arsenal now.

Our problems go well beyond one player joining even if it was Messi...... We have to many average players and too few of them now.
To really get going Arsenal would need to buy 5 or 6 quality players, and I don't think that's an exaggeration

Free Suarez.

Why would either player wish to join AFC - especially Rooney?
