Boukari back at Molineux

Couldn't agree terms at Souchaux so he's back at Molineux, Jackett says he's 50-50 to move on but replied "I doubt it" when asked if he Boukari was in his plans.

I'm totally happy for him as a jusge of the player and situation but I wish they'd give us just a tiny bit more i.e. is he very unlikely to be in Jacketts plans because he desperately doesn't want to stay with us, because he isn't good enough, because it would cost too much to keep him. What do we reckon?

Unbelievable that an article about a player returning to Wolves because personal terms cannot be agreed upon, turns into yet another off topic arguement.

As UH has pointed out the remark made by cinci has absolutely nothing to do with racism.

Let me just define the word racist if I may.

A person who believes in racism, the doctrine that a certain human race is superior to any or all others.

From what I read, the term "foreigners" was used. That is not a race, it's a collective term for people from different countries to their own.

I find it fascinating mixing with other nationalities too Wolfgang, travel has been in my blood since my childhood and have worked side by side with many foreigners in various places and drive them nuts by asking so many questions about growing up.

Birmingham's homeless community has changed dramatically over the last fifteen years. We served mainly English, Irish and Scottish when I started voluntary work 12 years ago.

Last winter the demographic was 90% non British - Poles, Lithuanians, Russians, Czechs used the service we offered, but few of the long-term British homeless bothered. Then again, they had all the squats sewn up.

The most needy - and the biggest numbers - are now Romanians and Bulgarians. Expecting 200,000 to hit the ports this next 18 months and they will likely be quickly moved on from London (Councils in the Capital pay to have them displaced).

Met some fascinating people who are anything but what the Daily Mail and Sun describe them to be.

Definitely 12.5% Aussie either way

No wonder you thought England would lose the Ashes.

One guy I talked with is a Ukranian who earns £60 a week as a Doctor in the Ukraine - picking strawberries in Herefordshire he can earn £300 a week or more.

I was working in Coventry at the time of the conflicts in Yugoslavia and the city was having to cope with a significant influx of people from that part of the world. The council in their wisdom decided to place families of Serbs and Croats into the same block of flats in the city and then wondered why there was so much trouble in the place

And that is exactly why I did NOT use the word race or call Cinci a racist.

That's really interesting Herb, who do you volunteer with?

(U17339) - I volunteer with the homeless outreach teams in Birmingham (church run). Having lived in hostels for 7 years, I know the dynamics at the lower end of the so-called 'social strata' and already knew many of the people I still see today who are trapped in that cycle of hostel / squat / street living.

Worked in a hostel for two and half years before current job and am edging back towards that kind of work - as my job teeters on the edge - by volunteering on the soup runs and helping the churches when they open up their buildings as night shelters in the winter by doing as many night shifts as I can.

Still waiting on a huge amount of compensation from my employer (interim payments begin next month) and if that coincides with redundancy will be able to take the whole winter off paid work, and be in a position to volunteer full-time.

Either way, this time next year there is no chance of my current job existing. I would like nothing more than to work full time with the homeless again - the need is currently manageable (just about) through volunteers, but in a year will be beyond breaking point.

There is no money in the pot to build more hostels, let alone social housing, so I would see my role as not just being on the streets serving but as a bit of a firebrand amongst the many rich churches in Birmingham who own massive spaces but do nothing with them aside from on a Sunday.

Encouragement is my gift - away from forum life, that is
