Bury have had a tough time. They nearly went out of business in the first part of this year and got relegated. With new investment they have now signed 20 players since the end of last season.
Apparently they are aiming for consolidation this year.
They have had a tough start to the campaign with their fixtures. At home to Chesterfield followed by a trip to Oxford pulled in zero points. However, they beat Crewe in the cup and have beaten Accrington at home.

There's not a not a lot of difference between the top 10
-12 sides in this league, and I believe that Bury are in this catagory.
I'm going to buck the trend and go for a Bury to win in another close game, with Harrad scoring the winner.
Brewers 1 Bury 2
Hope I'm wrong!
C'mon you brewers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U18494 we did indeed play Bury in the 1st round of the FA Cup in 1979/80 season at Eton Park, we lost 2-0 in front of 4,501 fans. Paul Hilton scored both Bury goals, the 1st being a 25yard volley into the top corner after 25 seconds ! Gordon Taylor now of the PFA played on the left wing for Bury that day.
I remember we gave a really good account of ourselves and there was a really good atmosphere in the ground.
Doubt there will be 4,500 at the Pirelli today !

My goalscorers question?
Steve Kabba got 6 but it took him 277 minutes for each goal.
So the three are: -
Sam Winnall, I have at 7 at 169 each.
I've got James Collins at 5, including an F A Cup goal right at the end against Chesterfield? 188 minutes each.
And Matt Paterson. Rarely finished the games he started and got a lot of his goals after coming on late in the day which I reckon gives him 7 goals at 197 minutes each.

@U9418. I was at that Bury FA Cup match in 1979 Terraceman but I remember it as a day that we would sooner forget. They went 1-nil up in the first 2 minutes precipitating one of the most one-sided matches ever. There were a few good individual performances but overall we were outclassed. Off the pitch it was a truly dismal day with the cops making 51 arrests, 48 of them from Lancashire addresses. There were fights during the match and in town in the morning when a visiting gang called in at The Galaxy in High Street (used to be near The Lord Burton), not knowing that it was a Hells Angels pub. I think they deliberately chose the place where they would least welcome.

I was trying to gloss over all that Frank ! unfortunately there was a lot of fighting on the terraces and in the town. Indeed i was set upon by some Bury fans who wanted my scarf, unluckily for them i could handle myself back then and they came off worse.

For some reason I have been fairly confident that we will get a comparatively easy win from this game. I will go for a 2.0 win with Weir and Hussey scoring.
