Is it possible?

Hello everyone... i'm not from england. so i don't know what the actual situation feels like. But my question is: Could the riots lead to a postponement of the first premier league round?!

Carling cup games for this week and the international friendly have been cancelled so it could if it carries on

Only in London if you ask me

I think the next night or two will decide what happens. If it tails off, then I think they should be okay, but if it carries on, or even spreads further, then I can't see there being any way the police can be diverted to police Premier League games.

The Premier League could lose half of the fixtures this weekend if all the affect cities are still having trouble:

Fulham v Villa
Liverpool v Sunderland
QPR v Bolton
Spurs v Everton
West Brom v United

Still too early to tell, but worrying stuff, especially for the residents of these areas.
Best wishes to all those affected.

Easily could be postponed but probably too early to tell. If all these copycat riots escalate then it's a real possibility.

Looks like the City V Swansea game could be getting called off too
