Game needed kagawa

Even carrick and kagawa in cm is better than him being on the bench because while cleverley is a good player, thats all he is, hes neither bad or a game changer. The more match winners we have starting the better

The things you think are so average from Clevs are the things that will allow us to play 4 attacking players and will give Kagawa the game time you so desire.

I really think Rooney's performance has been overrated quite a bit, 1 tackle, 2 30 yard shots that were never going in and a lot of huffing and puffing. Yes I was pleased to see him put a lot of effort in but in terms of being a creator he offered little, his combination play with RVP was non existent while I would be interested to see his pass completion rate in the final third as he seemed to give the ball a way a lot.

Still, I think for a guy who has hardly had any pre season he worked hard and like I said that was pleasing but the game really was missing the guile of a player like Kagawa which Rooney simply didn't offer throughout the game.

Totally agree with the OP. The last 30 minutes would have been ideal for Kagawa. I was sat waiting for him to come on, then the camera cuts to the bench and Giggs is getting ready.....

i think your being a tad hard on Rooney there.

a lot of people questioned him before the game and he put in a very proffesional performance.

worked hard, wanted theball and tried to make things happen.

other than the cb's for both teams i had him as mom ( although thats not really saying much).

rooneys performance was horribley overated, running around alot doesnt make a mom performance, he misplaced a dozen or so passes and had a few long ranges, he was ok at best nothing spectacular or fantastic as being quoted by some

Don't get me wrong, I was pleased with the effort he put in, I really didn't expect that but in terms of being one of our creative players he offered little IMO. Being professional and working hard really should be expected from every player and I do think we sometimes treat Rooney far too much like a baby sometimes.

He's on the pitch to score and create goals and that was in short supply last night. Although last night as a whole was a very negative game and was difficult for anyone to create much, but then that's why we have players like Kagawa isn't it?

What annoys me somewhat is Moyes saying after the game will lacked someone to make the killer ball ... and yet kept Kagawa on the bench throughout.

United need to find a system to play RVP, Rooney and Kagawa because these 3 together would be far more influential than having Welbeck and Valencia on the wings.

Rooney put Welbs and Valencia is great positions in lots of space a number of times when spreading the play.

He gives our wingers the chance to create a chance but they failed.

Kagawa has a different style of play but it's a style that suits a Hernandez more than a RVP.

I don't think that we need to find a system - the one we used yesterday will work perfectly fine. We just need to select Kagawa. That said, I don't think that he was ready for the Chelsea game, so have no problem with him being on the bench. I do think that he should have been brought on for the last 20-30 minutes.
