Came on as a sub and scored.

How was he at QPR? I heard a lot of you hated the guy there.
Saying that, seems like PSV will use him right. He may have been used as a defensive winger at United, but if anyone remembers the match PSV had against AC a few years back would notice that he was very capable of being a proper attacking wide player.
Park Ji-Sung back at PSV

his energentic style had taken its toll at united, he lost the yard of accelaration he had in his first few years, liked him as a player never let us down in big games and loved scoring against the gunners!

A player I never warmed to at United.

I do think SAF ruined him a bit. Look at how he was used at PSV and then at United. SAF curbed his attacking play and used him as a defensive winger because he had the energy. He worked well with Evra on the left though.

Diggler
How could anyone not warm to Park Ji Sung? Total professional, always gave 100% and carried out the particular instructions Fergie had given him with total discipline, never moaned about not playing big games, usually put in superb performances in the big games he was selected for (notably Barcelona in 2008 and every time he played against Arsenal). He wasn't a twinkle-toed superstar but in addition to his commitment he was an intelligent footballer in terms of his use of the ball and movement off the ball. When he left he had lost that pace and it was clearly time for him to go, that's the worst that can be said about him.
I kind of despair that fans can't take to such a player. I don't think we could ask more of him, unless the demand is that he be someone else.

Sorry Red Russian, I'm normally behind any of our players (like Forlan, Fletcher, etc) but there have been a couple of players over the years that I didn't like from day one.
Park happens to be the one player above those few that I didn't like to see playing, it actually was an ongoing joke between my friends.

I think that he was a really good player for us. It maybe took him a couple of years to settle in, but then I think from 07-11 he had his role nailed down and played it to perfection nearly every game he was selected.
I think when his pace and energy dropped slightly in his last season, you could tell that it was time for him to move on.

Didn't hate the guy, he never really "did it" for us. Going from a top team to a p!ss poor one like we were last season probably ad something to do with it.

QPR had a team of strangers. Hughes should have got players in slowly, and not ones just there for the cash. I heard he was injured a lot last season. It always took him a 2-3 games to get back up to speed. Anyway, looks like he is doing a good job at his old club PSV.
