L'Equipe is claiming that PSG and LFC are close to agreeing a fee of 16-18 million euros for Sakho. Hopefully this is true, he would be ideal, big, strong, good in the air, adapt at when it comes to passing the ball from the back. Anyone know how reliable L'Equipe is though? If LFC really do want him, lets hope things get wrapped up quickly before a certain Tottenham Hotspur come bounding in.

Good player, will do well for you. Don't think he's reached the heights he was touted to, but mainly due to the fact that others took his position at PSG so hasn't played as much. Good player though would welcome him at Arsenal. Saying that I'd welcome anyone at Arsenal at the moment

From what I have heard he is a very good CB. But he plays for a club with too much cash for its own good. PSG also have Thiago Silva, Alex and Marquinos on their books so his chances to start are atm limited. PSG probs wont sell cheap as they clearly rate him, I would not say he is world class but like Sturridge its probably yet another case of a very good youngish player who just needs regular matches to develop further.

At that price surely he'd need to be starting most games? Dropping Kolo down to third choice. I'd be happy with that assuming he's better than Kolo. Think Skrtel will be off to help fund it and make space if it's true, which would be good business. Wide player next please.

Ben Smith claims that LFC want Sakho and Ilori. If thats so then Skrtel could well be off. I would be sad to see that happen but maybe its a change that is needed.

If we sign a centre back Skrtel won't be going anywhere.
Wisdom will be out on loan but that's the whole point in bringing in the extra centre back cover. Skrtel will be here this season.

With the way Kolo's started we're effectively buying a player for the bench. Agger's vice-captain and unlikely to lose out.
