Noel Hunt

For Hunt read Varney. Granted they work hard but little in terms of an end product.

I saw Hunt at Ipswich last week and it was probably his best outing for us. Equally Varney took his chance well last week. However, neither are consistent enough for my liking and neither are out and out strikers which means we are largely ineffective up front.

Not wanting to be overly critical of hunt or any Leeds player, but if u compare hunt to qprs strike force, they did all the hard work too, were back in their own half tackling and generally doing lots of huffing and puffing just like hunt (and varney for that matter). Major difference for me though was with Austin and Johnson you can see the goal threat is there and u know it will come eventually !! That's what we need up top, all round team players that are also gonna get double figures for the season!

Working is great but not enough if you're a striker, you need to create and score as well.

Offered very little so far.

Hunt had a poor game but I takes time to settle .We played a tea that cost millions of £ and we came out of it with a 1-0 defeat its not the end the world we will impove

have to say I haven't been entirely convinced myself yet. I'm hoping to be proven wrong.

Early days, but so far Hunt & Smith have been poor signings. Work rate is no replacment for goals.
