I don't get why everyone is going crazy about lukaku loan. At 20 he was never going to replace Torres or Eto. So I think its the best option to loan him to Everton. Who are a very good side , lukaku will have a lot of playing time which will only help his development.
I trust Jose to make the right decisions and I believe this one is a good one too.
Lukaku.

Because your squad needs him to balance it out. Because he's the only one who offers something differet to your attacking line. And because, apart from Eto'o (maybe), he's your best striker.

The only reason he came to us in the end was that WBA really wanted Big Vic on a permanent deal. Otherwise I think his first choice would have been West Brom.
He looked good last season and 10-15 league goals would be great from him.

Very good signing for Everton, Lukaku is a big strong beast and he'll do we'll for the BS.
Not to bothered about McCarthy or Barry but Lukaku is a good signing!

I think its a good move, he just wasnt going to get the game time at Chelsea to develop.
Its bad enough Sturridge was a victim of the BSD, dont want Lukaku going the same way.

Sturridge was a victim of Torres costing 50 million. Chelsea will be suffering because of his wages and market price until his contract runs out and he can go on a free.

For the long run its a very good choice for chelsea. At the moment its best to let him leave on loan.

As stated in an article i made yesterday, i think both him and the club will benefit from this loan. Wish him all the best

If Lukaku is good enough for Chelsea or not, then they should be finding this out by playing him. He would get more pressure at Chelsea so it would show whether he can cope with that side of it. Clearly not a Chelsea fan, but sad that Mourinho who does not have a reputation where raw youth is concerned could not use him and try to bring him on himself.

Gunner, to some extent i agree with you that Jose has struggled with raw youths, he doesnt seem to bring through many 17-20 yr olds. On the flip side of this however he does have a great record of enhancing players who are around 23-27, in the final formative years of their development, which bodes well for a large amount of our squad.

Ironically, if Lukaku plays too well (ie 20+goals) there is absolutely no chance of us keeping him. If, however he's average with room to improve we might get a 2nd year or a permanent move. He'll love Everton (we are the Special Club!), ask anyone who's been at the School of Science. He will not choose-he will be chosen! COYB!
