Nicky Shorey

Just watching the Bristol City v Rovers match and saw Shorey is playing for City. I heard Reading had released him but I'm surprised Billy didn't go for him. He's only 32 so has a couple of years left and he was so good for us in that short stint a few years back. Surely he's better than League One standard. With Pep going and Cohen possibly moving to midfield, he would certainly be better than Harding.

Dunno why I wrote an article about it really, must be bored.

Having watched the game he looks short of pace and struggled against League Two wingers so maybe he's past it

Maybe he's just rusty, but I think his best days are well behind him. He can still do a decent job for Bristol though.

Best days are definitely behind him. Will do a good job there though.

Was the best player in the team during his spell with us, just a pity we couldnt have held onto him who knows what might have happened
