I keep seeing a lot of persons criticizing our keeper both Arsenal & rival fans as do some pundits. The question I would like to ask though is, is he as bad as we are making him out to be? I honestly believe most of the criticisms he is getting is unjustified. He does have aspects of his game like anyone else that needs working on, but for the most part he is doing well above average. I want any of you to tell me 3 goals we concede due to his carelessness. He has indeed made some blinders of saves even against the Spuuds last week with the deflected shot which he saved.
I think we should get off the young man's back & support him He is our Number 1 & we should treat him as such. Big up Wojciech Szczessny.

Szczesny is a good keeper and would do well in the lower half of the table. thats his level.
we need better though

Put Szczesny in the United team of last season. They won the title by 11 points.
Are you honestly saying that that United would not have won the title if Szczesny replaced De Gea. If you are then you don't seem to understand that a goal keeper is only as good as the defenders in front of him and the system the team plays.
If you think that Szczesny is worth -12 points a season then Wenger must have cataracts to not see it himself.

Szczesny makes about 4 mistakes a game mate. only they very very rare occasion does he have a good one.
this is the team we need. I will not include a players name for the areas that need improving.
-------------------GK
RB-----CB-----------CB----Gibbs
--------DM-----Ramsey
RW--------Ozil--------Cazorla
-------------ST
All the positions that i havent put a players name in is the position we need to improve drastically

De Gea is better than Szczesny. When De Gea first came he flapped at crosses into the box and still did at the start of last season, but as the season went on, you could see he improved this aspect of his game and there have been matches where, were it not for De Gea, United may not have won or drew the match.
I still think we would have won the league last season if we had Szczesny, but with not such a point lead.

If you were winning trophies all his mistakes would get far less attention.

Sadly, that's bull. De Gea was criticised for it and every time he makes a mistake it is highlighted more often than not. Hart has been less consistant and making more howlers and it is only in the past six months that people in the media have suddenly noticed this.
If you are winning titles, mistakes are highlighted as much as any other big clubs.

Szczesny has never won us a game? This sort of statement shows people criticize out of habit rather than free thought. Not only did his save keep us ahead last week you look at games like Udinese and Liverpool where not only did he make penalty saves but also 2 or 3 other big saves at important times.
You can have an opinion, but please leave the boring rhetoric out of it.

kos only has 1 good game every 5 or 6 hes a liability
mert is too slow.
sagna is past it and jenkinson doesnt show enough quality to be top 4 standard
walcott has no football brain. without his speed he'd be a league 1 player

From what I've seen Szczesny is a pretty good shot-stopper but is arguably lacking a bit in the tactical side of being a goalkeeper - his positioning and distribution can both be a bit suspect at times. But as others have said, he doesn't single-handedly lose us points and still has quite a way to go development-wise yet, so I see no reason not to stick with him for now.
