Well having experienced a second defeat in a week at home ,i think its time for a reality check on how good we are as a team this season compared to last, and maybe talk of finishing in the top three needs to be put to bed . For the second week in a row the official has added to our fustration ,but that only papers over the cracks on a performance today which fell short of what we have been used too seeing. Players missing and i am talking Delap ,Hussey , Lyness , Kee ,and Weir who would im sure improved things from below performances today from in my opinion Bell ,Howe ,Symes ,Reid ,McGurk , and Edwards but i could go on .Pickford is excellent in his kicking but for me his shot stopping isnt as good as Lyness . What Dean must be thinking god only knows ,but was he injured ? .Howe couldnt seem to control the ball and is sadly lacking in confidence . Time for change Gary lets maybe give the captain a break he looked his age today .Rant over sorry lads

oh dear what can the matter be very poor albion didn't get in the game at all Edwards tried and tried to too pass the ball down the wing and failed every time it was the same against Rochdale and bury have the albion got an aversion to blue strip that's what all three sides have and seem to play the same game stronger fitter and faster and a will to win. people moan about mac Donald but things did start to happening when he came on and injected some speed into the albion bad ref again for the second goal

Gladly I wasn't there.
Been thinking for weeks we are lacking up front.
Weve scored 3 goals in the last 5 matches 1 being scored by a forward Symes.
Howe doesn't look like he has a goal in him.
Was told by someone there on Saturday that he didn't seem bothered.
Can't understand how Reid starts.
And certainly agree we are very one dimensional.
Hoof ball seems the order of the day.
Rowett needs to sort it quickly or else we wll find ourselves with another long season.
4 points from 12 at home is very very poor,

What has happened to Robbie Weir, does he never start any more? Whenever I saw you last season he looked to be one of the better players...

Were you up at York supporting Mansfield, Pez? Not about to suggest another one of your "Sack The Board" protests at the ground are you?

I for one would like Robbie Weir back in the side ,i accept he hasnt been quite as effective as last season but i feel sure he will be busting a gut to impress should he be in from the start on saturday . I would play 4-5-1 with him Lee Bell and, Matty Palmer in the middle with Hussey left midfield and Macdonald right midfield , yes he just about gets my vote ahead of Phillips , upfront id have Symes as a lone striker . A back four of Delap , Diamond , Holness , and McCrory . As for the keeper now that Gary has selected Pickford i think he needs to have a run of matches .On the subs bench .. Edwards , Phillips ,Howe, Reid, and Lyness

I left out McGurk from the 16 a bit harsh but to be honest he is another player who apart from flashes hasnt impressed me much ,but its all about personal choice

Belatedly I have to say I really enjoyed the game on Saturday although I think you can feel hard done to with regards the McCrory/Holmes collision leading up to our second goal. I guess we've all seen these given before, but on this occasion that wasn't to be. There again on the opening day of the season we had Ertl shown a red card for a lesser elbow than the one Symes gave East early on in the first half. Then again we were playing Oxford that day....
When I heard Phillips named before the game I thought we might have a chance as in the few games I've seen I have only ever seen him run into full backs. Talking of full backs, what our RB thought he was doing is beyond me. Three game ban? He should be banned for life for abject stupidity!
Overall the day was a great advert for L2 football and I know you will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Good to see Zander back out there and I thought he was your best player by a country mile. Was also impressed with Holness and McGurk was impressing many of those sat around me.
Just finally, reading the various Pompey message boards it seems everyone related with Burton came out of Saturday with credit: the club, the stadium, the pubs, the stewards and the police. It all combined to make it a day out for us to remember and for that I thank you. Even in the Great Northern afterwards the Brewers supporters were gracious enough to accept the result and were happy to talk football, especially wanting to know about our demise.
Good luck for the remainder of the season and looking forward to March already!

Brewer1 my friend. Are you suggesting that just because I don,t go to a game I cannot have a opinion.
Are you suggesting that anyone who watches other teams isn't allowed to voice his opinion.
Next you'll be telling me to stay away.
That's happened before my friend and what would happen to the club if all the guys who support Derby as well as the brewers stayed away,
All I have done is voice my opinion.
Oh by the way I was at York.
If you've a problem with that tough.

Sadly due to work commitments I am getting to less and less games this season I can understand everyone's frustration in losing another game, but this is a new squad and it did get off to a great start so maybe a couple of losses will focus them on the road ahead.
Weir really needs to be back in the starting line up. Reed is not the answer and Belly misses the battling Weir beside him - hence his slight drop in form.
Howe still disappoints me, Symes still disappoints me and McGurk only seems to turn up every few games. We are seriously missing Billy and when I look at the bench I say to myself do we have anyone that will come on and win a game for us - and on most occasions it is a no.
I am trying desperately to re-arrange my work pattern to get to more games, but at the moment it is not possible but I remain an ardent supporter and will continue to contribute when I can. I desperately hope GR can get this squad firing - I do not get the same feeling of 'togetherness' that last years squad had, maybe signing two or three players with big ego's and bigger pay packets was actually not the right decision! Time will tell, but no mater what come on you Brewers!!
