The Y Word: Vote

Well it's simple, with the impending questionnaire coming out I was interested to see how the Spurs board feels about the word.

1 Voting against the word, kick it out

2 Keep the word. It's ours

At least read up on its history before voting, don't be a sheep and go along with the negativity towards the FA

Thanks

I don't tend to use it much anymore but this is more on principle and giving up something I now feel I have a right to use. It is no longer about being Jewish but now about being a Spurs fan. Nobody differentiated between us all when the abuse was being dished out.

I was really tempted to vote on this but as an "outsider" I resisted. I'm interested I'm what you guys think though.

Wonder if Admin has a way to make the vote Spurs fans only?

Not voting as an outsider, but I have to say I have never heard this term used with a derogatory undertone. I've heard 'Jew' used with that sort of intention though many times

I honestly think it's more offensive for people to get a bee in their bonnet about this term.

2 for me

Its not being used to racially abuse and IMO to many people are to easily offended in this world. The world is a tough old place and if somebody gets offended by our use of this word then they are far to soft to survive what life will throw at them.

I am english thru and thru but can easily be mistaken for a greek or mexican due to my dark colouring. I have been called every racist word in the world over the course of my life and its no big deal. The people complaining about this really do need to get a damned life IMO.

It's against the rules for fans to chant other slurs against race/religion. Spurs shouldn't be treated differently. It's that simple.

Let's put it this way, if I said "You f@%king Y**s suck balls" or something like that to some brown coloured, kufi wearing Tottenham fans and the Police were about or I happened to end up on Youtube, I would be considered racist and an anti-semite. Based on that, it should be banned.

I haven't voted though.
