In this triple-header match-up who comes out as top pick?
Obviously, I rate Coutinho highly but I'm still completely gutted we didn't sign Eriksen considering the amount the other team landed him for in the end. A player as talented as Eriksen would have strengthened our 1st team - some have said we didn't need another creative MF of his ilk - and what if his contributions push his side into the top 4 at our expense???
As for Ozil? The media-dubbed 'King of the Assist' has proven credentials at the very top level and will sure to be a vital player for Arsenal this season.
But who is the best?
Who will have the biggest impact on the season overall?
Could all three play together in the same starting XI........
Ozil vs Eriksen vs Coutinho

People who say Ozil was miles better when he was the same age, should look at that old footage again imo, cause I think that's a slight exaggeration.

Ozil had 10 goals and 24 assists during his debut season at Real Madrid when he was 21. Could Eriksen or Coutinho do that?

Ozil is obviously the better player but Coutinho got 5 goals and 5 assists in 16 games for Espanyol at 19.

Kemlyn, unless I am mistaken all Liverpools games have been live on TV. I have watched all the live TV games this season I think, including yesterdays bore draw, and a lot more.

Imagine having Ozil, Eriksen and Coutinho behind a Sturridge or a Suarez or RVP.
That'd be worth watching.

Coutinho had 3 goals and 5 assists in his first 12 premier league games.
Ozil playing for Madrid, mostly against cannon fodder most weeks, and surrounded by world class players, isnt a fair comparison to most other players.

Blimey, are you planning to watch 154 games this year, "and a lot more"?
Do you have trouble adjusting to the light when you go outside to put the bins out?

Is it a foreign concept in Liverpool for pubs to have TVs that show the football?
First game was early kick off which i believe I watched at Dartfords Princes Park ground before the Darts played.
The second game was a 530 kick off which I watched at home after a day paintballing.
The third game was on the same day as the NLD which of course was watched in the pub.
Today i have been at work, so i hope you are not offended by me watching your team.
I may even watch your game on Saturday as I believe it is on Setanta, which is shown in the local Irish club, although I will be at Charlton v Millwall for an early kick off (meaning I will miss a live PL game)
Thanks for the concern but I get out more than enough.

No, not at all. Watch as many as you like.
Just curious about how much of your life you spend doing it, is all, but you've answered the question more than adequately.
Thanks for your time

Some of the responses to my article do make you wonder if these people are following the same sport.

Based on Eriksens performance in his first game for Spurs, in which he already gave an assist, I think this could be possible.
As Jlou rightfully said, playing for the most expensive team in the world, with some of the biggest stars, in a competition where you and one other team are head and shoulders above the rest, surely does help.
Not saying Ozil isn't good. Far from it, he's a top player. But maybe in 4 years time an Eriksen and Coutinho could become as good, or very close indeed.
