This is true. Hansen is 'retiring' at the end of the season when his contract at the BBC ends. You can just imagine the HR dept at the BBC say 'We know we won't owe you anything in remuneration, but here's £500k anyway. We know its not the £40k per appearance you receive but we think the average British License Fee payer won't begrudge you it'.

i don't get Liverpool, bar today they have had some decent results, but hardly set the world on fire. Villa, Stoke and us, all three unlucky not to get draws.
