Samuel is a doubt for the Coventry game, having had a knee injection yesterday.
If he can't play the team selection is easy, in my opinion.
Stearman remains at CB (although Ebanks-Landell could be a surprise selection), Golbourne drops back to LB, Sako and Henry on the wings. That just leaves the CM pairing, and I think Kenny will keep Price and McDonald, although he may put Davis in for Price. I'd be happy with either. I'm assuming Doyle and Griffiths are a definite.
Ricketts doubt

I think the reality is that ricketts was brought in to create stability and leadership in the short term.
He is in the twilight of his career I guess.

I think McDonald could "hold his own" in the Champo, DJ. Maybe Henry as well, but it's too soon to judge, although he did play regularly in that league for Millwall. Golbourne also played in the Champo for Barnsley. Ricketts, possibly not as he will be 33 if/when we get there.

Yes but in a way you have hit the nail on the head Cyp. They have been playing in the Championship but for pretty poor teams and we are going to need them to be top Championship players to be part of a promotion team. I hope they step up to the plate but personally I have my doubt as to whether they will. All I am really bothered about is that they help us this season, but come next season we will need players that do more than just hold their own if we are going to be promotion contenders

A £13 million "war chest" for KJ then!

Wouldn't hold your breath Cyp, those days are gone unless we get nice fees for a few of our loans.

Agreed, Cinci.
We need a tongue in cheek smiley.

If KJ had £13m to spend he would improve us surely - although it would give him an opportunity he has never had before so who knows

Roger Johnson and George Elokobi played in the Premiership - doesn't strengthen any argument as to their brilliance.

I got the hint of sarcasm, but i find it better to ignore blown funds as we could go over a lot of ground these last 4 years.
I am more concerned that one of our better assets if fit, IS unfortunately missing, presumably injured in France.
