Will Real Ever?

The poor dears. They came to North London in good faith to do business, ended up paying 85 million for Bale and selling Ozil for 42 million. Yes yes Bale is very good blah blah. But we ALL know he's not 85 million good.

Then we have Ozil on the other hand, the total opposite. Given "Football silly money terms," 42 million for consistently the most assists in football? Well that's just a absolute STEEEEAAL!!

So, conned by Spurs and brutally mugged by the Gunners. My question is simply this:

Will they ever come back to North London to do business again?

I dont think reserving judgement until the end of the season is 'being a hater' - stop being so dramatic (again).

I've said he is a good player, but to be labelled a 42million pound bargain(!) he has to have a pretty amazing season - quite simply, it's far, far too early to make that call, because all he's done is have a handful of very good games.

Ozil is probably the best playmaker in the world.
I don't get this stat argument. It proves nothing.
Gooner are justly jizzing over him.

He's got nothing prove just because he joined the mighty Prem. He's already proven.

i heard they are lining up a 40 million xmas move for Andros townsend

I have to be honest and say I believe ozil could easily manage about 15 assists per season. He's capable of putting the ball on a plate for the likes of Walcott, giroud etc to the point it's harder for them to miss! If mata and Rooney can manage about 15 assists per season then why not ozil?

Wouldn't say it's a steal though, probably the going rate for a player of his quality when you compare the likes of Lucas moura, gotze and hazard who all cost about £30m but aren't as good as him. It's only a steal compared to the bale deal which is unique and distorts everything.

basically levy mugged real Madrid off

posted on 14/10/13

Yep big time, levy smelt the desperation and took them to the cleaners. They lost out on Spanish honours to their eternal rivals and local rivals, got schooled by a Dortmund team that cost a fraction of the price of themselves and then lost out on neymar to barca

They got a fair deal for Ozil I think, you probably paid an extra amount because it was on deadline day.

But yeh £85m for an injury prone player yikes!!!

posted on 14/10/13

Wouldn't say he's injury-prone, his injuries now are just a natural result of them not allowing him to train for at least 3 weeks to get into something near match condition. Shocking case of lack of squad management by Perez..... Er I mean ancelotti!

I was all for keeping him at first as I thought they'd bid around £60m tops which wasn't quite enough premium for me, when they started mentioning £80m etc I wanted to drive him to the airport!

If you were talking about a more average player then I'd say yes, you could be right. But his class is undeniable. You just have to watch him play for Germany to see that. He's one of those players that just will be, one of the games greats. Short of major injury, scandal or death.

this again.

And this

You go ahead and wait til the end of the season for your judgement. Enjoy the many "I told you so's" when you look utterly ridiculous for suggesting he'd do anything other than dominate the prem as he does every else he plays.
