Dortmund have a fantastic scouting network and it pays dividends for them...gotta be a blow to lose Lewa for free when they could easily sell him for 30m+

I find it hard to understand myself why Bayern is so much richer.
German friends explain to me that Bayern is like Arsenal ie from the richest part of Germany ... and Dortmund is like Newcastle.
Advertisers want to be associated with rich, well off Bavaria not the old industrial Ruhr.

Bayern have the history too, fantastic side in the 70's
My first real memories of Dortmund are probs when they beat Juve in the Champions league final, if thats duplicated on a wider scale then that explains why their profile (global) suffers

The greats will still head for Madrid and barca ahead of anyone else except possibly Bayern, SK long as Bayern maintains its current position.
I don't understand what's up with the prem lately, spending a fortune and falling behind, used to be nailed on to get 4 teams out the group and at least 2 or 3 in the quarters.
City and Chelsea seem worse than normal this year so far.

I think Jose's proving the old adage of never going back to be correct
Celtic are in the group of pedigree alongside Milan,Barca & Ajax - has there even been a group that can put as many European Cup / Champo league wins on the table as that?

Jose still thinks it 2007 I think.
He is fast becoming a bit of a fool, he still believes his hype, but he failed in Madrid when you consider what he had at his disposal.
And he is so desperate to prove he myself to be his own man that he is making decisions out of spite, mata and Luis were arguably Chelsea best two players last season so he has effectively sidelined them.

he did it last season dropping Casillas (top 3 keeper in the world)

Bayern were already good before Guardiola went there and he will surely make them better. Cant imagine being a massive importer of expensive foreign talent like England and Spain are, but they don't seem to need it

Bayern look very ordinary when Robben isn't playing. City were all over them and should have got a point, but when he was on the pitch they couldn't get near the ball - absolutely everything goes through him.
Similar to Inniesta at Barca, Ronaldo at Real and Edwards at Wolves.
