That´s about a goal ever three games from central midfield.

David Beckham. Far too many games off the bench just to try and get him the record number of appearances. He started going downhill once his foot fell off in 2002, and certainly after Euro 2004 he clearly wasn't good enough. But continued presumably for 'marketing' reasons.
