QPR V RAMS......AFTER MATCH THOUGHTS

so....against the best attacking side in the championship, we lost...

should we and could we have done better ?

was it really grants fault for the first goal ?

and can we do better against sheff weds ?

my opinion is this..

QPR are a difficult side to play against..they are organised and have ex prem players...we were always going to find it difficult against them, but we did put up a fight.

we didn't get tanked say 5/6-0, we even took the game to them several times..

steve mcClaren even took the blame for the first goal... he said on radio derby, he has encouraged the players to play....if they want to play...then play.... you have to take risks if you want to win...

yes grant could have done better, but if we pick on him and say he's rubbish, then we keep picking on our keepers, and all of them will be rubbish in our eyes...

remember, we have eric steele who has coached some of the best keepers around, and if anything, grant will be a better keeper from his mistake..

the rest of the team at times, it seems, matched QPR,and gave them a run for their money...up against a quality side, I say we did ok...

so lets all relax..it's not the end of the world....and we have a quality coach who can take the blame....would nigel have taken the blame ?....no..i doubt it..

so onwards and upwards rams fans.

please leave you comments...

off to hooters.....

Grant's ball out to Forsyth for first goal was ridiculous. I actually thought I missed something as I couldn't believe what I saw. 2nd goal..if a ball travels that far and lands 4 yards from goal I expect the keeper to deal with it. We should of got a point Saturday.

I'm with Backo on the both goals. The 2nd goal any decent keeper would of challenged for the ball. Even get a punch on it. If he gets knocked he gets a free kick....Grant came out alot further against Leeds and missed it.
Roberts? you are joking aren't you? theres a reason why he's playing at Bury.
I would however say how impressed I've been with Eustace since Steve McC as come in. I wasn't happy when he signed but he's done a great job recently and we will miss him against wednesday.

Griff we will miss Eustace on Saturday mate, but we've got a player already in the squad who could slot in there nicely, and who's wasted at right back. Wisdom. Smith at right back and wisdom in the holding role

My concern, and I'll keep saying it over and over again, is the defence. The personnel at the back are not good enough......

No I'm NOT. He could still have done a job at Derby.

However, it's all conjecture and hypothesis.

not a chance....if he was any good he'd be playing at a higher level than Bury. Forsyth might be poor but he's not that bad. I would be tempted to give Hogansson a chance

Wassa Wisdom will play behind Bryson and Highes Saturday. The lad is gonna be a star. Very impressed with him. Liverpool must have a great defence letting him come here!!!

Griff..cant see anything on the goals that change my mind from watching it there. Grant was the difference between the 2 sides. Forsyth ive been critical of lately but Phillips was on fire Saturday. He had a tough job.

TBF thats what we've got to take away from the game....there team was packed with premiership quality players.....We could do with Barton, Green,Dunne, Jenas, Phillips, etc at derby

Coming away frustrated at losing away to QPR is a positive. I know full well it should been avoided. Still looking forward to Saturday. Just wish Hendrick and Russell was fit. Wisdom is a class act. Cant believe we have him.

ended back in the wetherspoons in Shepards Bush after we left you....There were a few Derby fans in there again. My dads got his and my lad's tickets for Bournemouth...
When my mum said she was going to harrods saturday morning my dad was quicker than Bryson taking her credit card off her
