I was at the forum in the Royal Telegraph and McClaren asked evryone where they thought we needed to strengthen. Most people shouted out CB and LB. With Wisdom and Whitbread both coming in to address CB it wouldnt be surprising if it was LB he has been paying attention to the last couple of weeks, which haven't been the best for him, by all accounts as i didnt see QPR game.

Put up for sale though seems a bit drastic especially as we cant sell him yet.

Tempted to go to this pub crawl and simply ask what sort of players we are looking to scout. As in attacking flair players, experience, young kids with potential etc. Id like to know how active they would like to be in Jan and if they plan ti ship many out.

The answer to that from the same session was that they are still assessing the squad. Recognised that we had a very talented team with some excellent players but the main problem identified at this stage was depth. They will assess what needs adding to where over next coupe of months and then he will go and tell Sam Rush what he wants. It will also be dependant on where we are come January.

But Pablo surely they are scouting players right this second! Id just be interested to know what are the criteria they are working within. For instance Peterborough for a few season have had a plan to look at recruiting lower league players for small fees then helping them reach their potential. So what types of players are they looking at? Then come Jan after assessing the squad they pick the players theyve watched to what they need!

If the problem is the lack of depth then why sell players that are young & are being played out of their natural position? Just a thought

Jorvick, exactly Forsyth isn't even a left back, just the only reasonable option we have at the moment. Ideal squad man covering LB & LM.
