A question....

Slow on here at the minute, not football related but wanted to know what music does everyone listen to?

I think i'm correct in saying we have some older blokes on here and some young lads, so i'm interested to know what tunes get the juices flowing!

Myself, i love a variety, rock ,indie, experimental, electronic and especially old music, like Joy Division and Television!

Over to you!

I am, of course, a hip-hop fan...

But I also enjoy various other genres.
I enjoy reggae of all styles, from your Bob Marley, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Peter Mackintosh through to Eek-a-Mouse, Yellowman and on to the more modern stylings of Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Buju Banton and Bounty Killer.

I am also a fan of soul music, from the Motown era and the likes of The Four Tops, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson through to the New Jack swing era of Jodeci, R Kelly, Blackstreet, TLC, En Vogue, Bobby Brown and Guy and the more ballad sounds of the likes of Boys II Men, New Edition, Dru Hill and D'Angelo.

I also like Blues. The likes of BB King, Muddy Waters, Oscar Brown Jr, John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf.

Being a Dartford boy, and a fan of the Blues, I am also of course a fan of the Rolling Stones.

Like what I think is referred to Grunge, Nirvana and Pearl Jam being the obvious bands to name.

Stone Roses, Inspiral CarpetsHappy Mondays and Black Grape are all pleasant to my ear, although Oasis never really made an impression on me.

One of the most recent albums I bought was by Elvis Costello, entitled Wise Up Ghost. Wasn't really a fan before, but this is a great album.

Don't mind a bit of classical music in the right situation, Beethovens Fifth in C Minor being a personal favourite.

Also love Justin Bieber, but does that not go without saying?

I have quite a large orchestral collection.

This is not exhaustive:

Mussorgsky
Dvorak
Elgar
Tchaikvosky
Khachaturian
Stravinsky
Grieg

Plus, I reckon about 90% of all of john Williams movie stuff that he's done, right from Towering Inferno onwards

I've been listening lately to a few bands like Two Steps from Hell and The Immediate who do movie trailer music. Sort of short, punchy orchestral rock music.
