Celtic AGM: rejection of living wage motion

A discussion just for the tims on here, if you don't mind dwellers of "Rangers".

Forget aboot Sevco Scotland Ltd and their delusions on who they claim to be. Forget about the rest of Scottish fitbaw for a moment. Forget even about our own group of players.

It's an absolute disgrace that our club, who have made multi millions in the past 15 months, have gone against the majority of socially progressive Celtic supporters in rejecting the implementation of a living wage for Celtic employees. Mr Lawwell is an asset for the most part, and he is certainly a calibre above all other figureheads within Scottish fitbaw since Fergus stepped aside. But while he takes his million salary and his bonus home, he dare preach to us about being more than a club? It's hypocrisy to spout how we abide by the ethos of Brother Walfrid on a daily basis. He would be turning over in his grave at today's events and some banter aboot an irrelevant 3rd tier 'company' does not change that. It has never been a better time, relatively speaking, to be a tim but every year we lose a piece of our soul and while the fabric of progression is sacrificed for socially conservative prudency - no matter the circumstance.

Shame on the board and shame on anyone who followed our board's recommendation on Motion 11 today.
