Tottenham are preparing an ambitious move to sign Japanese dynamo Shinji Kagawa in January. This is an interesting rumour, mostly because it could have legs.
The Japanese international has never fully settled into life at Old Trafford and seemingly does not have the faith of new Utd supremo David Moyes, or Wayne Rooney.
Kagawa, who was voted as the Bundesliga's 'player of the season' and 'Asian rear of the year' respectively prior to leaving German behemoths Borussia Dortmund has never fully carried himself with the confidence displayed in Germany.
Whilst Dortmund manager and vociferous tubthumper Jürgen Klopp has intimated that he'd like to take the Japanese playmaker back to the Ruhr Area, both Kagawa & his agent have made (high pitched) noises suggesting that the player would like to "remain in England".
Whilst Tottenham have looked defensively sound for the best part this season (yesterday's bully-ramming at the hands of a ruthless Manchester City team aside), it's difficult to ignore the fact that the team seemingly lacks a creative presence * touch of inspiration in the offensive third of the pitch.
It could just be that AVB takes the plunge, persuading Moyes & Utd to "cash in" on a player many laud as the "biggest waste of talent" since Eldorado was cancelled!

He is naturally better at playing closer to those striker than those two.
However, it is unlikely United would sell him to another Premier League club in the middle of the season, and we really need to let the players we already have bed in properly and show their potential before we think of adding to the squad.
With that said, this looks pretty tasty:
Lamela ------------------Kagawa----------------Eriksen
------------------------------Striker---------------------------
