Could be exaggerating a bit on BBC's part but this is a wonderful gesture of respect and class from Cardiff supporters. well done
Having said that. It is common for the supporters to applaud opposition players when they score a hat trick or at the final whistle after having a great game. so I also find it a bit strange that the whole stadium was compelled to applaud a goal against their team by one of their former players

All due respect to him really. They knew when he left, he was a talent, he's been so good this season and they were never going to keep hold of him when Arsenal came knocking at the door. All due respect to them, that was lovely.
