Just wanted to share the sad news that former Wanderer Paul Comstive has died of a heart attack aged 52.
Paul was a central midfielder who signed for BWFC from Burnley for the sum of £37,000 in 1989, and who spent two seasons at Burnden Park.
I remember Paul's debut. He got the ball for the first time and fired a wild shot over the bar and onto the Lever End roof. A voice from behind me said, dryly, "Burnley have done us again".
Rest in peace, Paul.

Really sorry to hear. Puts todays events into perspective. Unfortunately best remembered for missing a sitter at Wembley to put Bolton 1-0 up v spit Tranmere in the play off final 1991 which Bolton eventually lost.

Many happy memories of the time he was with us in Div 3. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
