The word is 'patience' then..?

Well I think this year, we'll try and finish in 5th-6th place, but the real promotion challenge will begin next season

Will take more than a couple player in January for us to be good enough. Will need at lest two transfer windows to become a genuine contender for top spots

More sense in this one article than in many of the comments seen in these pages. Having said that, I do sense that there is, finally, the signs of many coming to realise the reality of our situation.

I wasn't expecting a promotional charge this season and still think it's beyond us. Without quality signings and good youngsters coming through its difficult to see us challenge for some time yet.

I'm interested to see who comes in this window and whether it's a short-term boost or building for the future. We need changes now in order to keep progressing and consolidate a top ten place.

Takeover expected to happen midway through the month, I hope it doesn't get pushed back further because credibility will start to slip.

Give the first game of the New Year generated a poor result surely the way ahead is up?????

I would like to see us bring in a midfielder with guile, a prolific striker and a winger.

I have said this for ages.



I think if we had those additions we could (and I emphasise the word could) be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. Then push on, be it in this league or the one above.

More additions would be required in summer either way.

Squad's coming on nicely (even though we have a few to shift!)

Patience is not a word that will be used on many threads tonight.
