in January?
WTF is this lad on, you are playing some of the worst football for years, getting beat home and away, and have fell well behind the top clubs in the league, and he's happy to continue with the same underachieving squad.
Hess either deluded and thinks he can turn it round on the training pitch, or there's no money to spend because of your owners?
Anyway I think it sends the wrong message to the players who are there will rooney stay watching the other top clubs getting stronger not so sure, only time will tell.

Everton only got McCarthy by selling Fellaini.

But they knew that money would be coming and could therefore cover the cost of the loans plus McCarthy bud.

We are not actually, we played efficient football last season. Now we are playing absolute crap. Luck has nothing to do with it, you will find it is tactical acumen.
---------------------------------------------
Nonsense.... We were poor to watch, last season, end of story.
If you want to call it efficient, be my guest... but it contradicts your previous post about not caring about trophies, but wanting to see good football.
Clearly that philosophy goes out of the window if you consider crap football as efficient when winning, but just plain crap when not.

Roy, my understanding was we had all but agreed a deal for Lucas before PSG swooped in and signed him. We had also agreed a fee and wages with Hazard but werent prepared to pay the agents fees. Nasri,Maybe we decided he wasnt worth the fee and wages.
According to Perez, Capello, AVB and Phelan we also looked to gazump Real ;deal for Bale. It doesnt get bigger than taking Madrid on mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
exactly so we balked at the agency fees and lost out on a talent like hazard. Psg blew them out of the water with lucas and lost out to city on nasri, again because of money. Was the agency fee for hazard more than missing out on cl qualification ?
Maybe there is a change of strategy with the bale talk we will have to wait and see unfortunately a marquee signing like that wont be happening this window by the looks of it.

True, McCarthy and the loans though are still only about half the Fellani fee, and it's not like Moyes didn't benefit from the occasional obscene amount of money for one of his players. 22m for Lescott springs to mind....

Not what I said my good man. We were efficient last season. Nick a goal and see it out. Horrible to watch but not 'poor'.
We are playing poorly now. I criticised Fergie for the type of football we were playing so I will do the same with Moyes.
I liked the fact we won the league but I didn't enjoy it. At least with the efficient football we played, it was horrible to watch but at least you could console yourself with a trophy.
Now we cannot even do that.
Furthermore, there are no signs things will improve and when you look back at Moyes' past there is no evidence of things improving.
Like I said, his old team look better without him. Very telling
