Not covered ourselves in glory last two matches. And to be honest not been great all season.
Sky commentators were harping on about how good Wendies were, but lets be honest we made Rochdale look good last weekend. I reckon Burton Albion would look like world beaters against us right now.
First half BM has us set up all wrong. Bring wingers in, then play 3-4-3! WHAT??! Add to that the quality of our three defenders and we simply asked to be 2-0 down half time. Abysmal marking, abysmal tackling...just abysmal.
On the other hand the second half could have been different on another day. Tried to go to 442 but Smith is sent off after about 40 seconds...for what was in my eyes a yellow card (if you're being harsh). How was it a red? It wasn't dangerous play, and that lad Maguire's challenge on Pugh was more of a red than Smith's.
Anyway...game over from 46 minutes on and with 10 men. From then on we had no luck at all. Big deflections, sneaking in off the post...you name it, it happened to us. Not taking away from how bad we were, but the score would never have been 6-0 if we had kept 11 men on the field.
I still believe in Brian McDermott. I know some fans on here don't like him, but I'd gladly hear of available alternatives who are better. And I don't believe changing managers every 12 months will do anything. A new manager will want to change things all over again and that's not the solution. We need stability, and if we have to face a few hard matches and defeats to get there then so be it. Stick with McDermott, let him do what he has to do.

Frank, go look thru recent articles, we have all said because of his style he goes 100% all game. Given the lack of technical players around him using passes to make space work, he ends up covering too much ground.
Watch today's game again, u keep your eye on him (like I said to do during the game) and u will see he is doing too many jobs, jobs that mowwat and or Murphy should be doing.
Blaming Rudy is ridiculous as he is nthe only player giving 100%.

Im not blaming him for that today. I just think he should be dropped because his form is dreadful. Problem is we have no-one else who can play there.

Austins passing is awful. His shooting is awful. As a midfielder you need to get at least one of those right.

Frank. I say give him the season, and the summer (effectively giving him next season too, yes).
He needs to bring in the right players. And to impart his style of football.
I honestly believe that things will improve. But I accept that it means nothing! I've been wrong before and will readily admit that...

Jonty, perhaps BM should bring back Vinnie , seriously though I agree, we need a hard player like him, BM on borrowed time after a few more performances like that I am afraid, at least its an easy game next
