Asia Cup Final - SL V Pak

The best two sides off Asia go head to head for the final Saturday 8th March 08:00am UK time.

Sri Lanka have been unbeaten throughout the series and are currently on a 8 win sequence in one dayer's (5 wins against minnows).

Holders Pakistan have had to do it the hard way and seem to have peaked at the right time.

Since 2008 when SL last won the tournament they have been in 5 ICC finals and failed to win every single one. Will the trend continue against the unpredictable Pakistan?

well afridi since you have raised the issue, i just dont see how our bowlers will be able to restrict big hitter like gayle afridi and etc. i can just see someone like gayle scoring 6s every ball.

Im not sure about the stats, but India's bowling has been on a decline since the world cup 2011. No matter what the format. Our spinners might come handy but again on flat tracks they can take a hitting as well.

i would be more than happy if India extend their wc record against pakistan. im not pinning to many hopes on us reaching semis.

Bowling is a problem area for most teams... I think the team with the best spin attack will win it... I can't see past the 3 asian teams to be favourites.

Comprehensively beaten in the final but overall satisfactory performance in the Asia Cup.I think in addition to top order collapse, drop catches and inconsistent pace bowling we were tactically short today.Gul should not have played today taking his recent bowling form into account and Misbah should have given new ball to Junaid instead of Gul.Junaid poses much greater threat with the new ball than Gul.

Afridi, I think the aussies have a really good team. all of their top 6 are explosive batsman. They can clear boundaries at will. and the boundaries will be quite short. I really think australia have a good chance.

Aus, SL and Pak will go into the wc as good contenders of reaching the final

What would be your T20 side?

1) Goofy/Sharjeel
2) Shehzad
3) Maqsood
4) Hafeez
5) Umar Akmal
6) Afridi
7) Malik
8) Tanvir Bowls better at the death than most
9) Bhatti
10) Gul
11) Ajmal

I'd rather have Goofy play than fat boy. At least he can keep and allowing one of our best fielders in U Akmal to field and focus on batting.

Not sure about Bhatti either. We could play granddad Babar.

Gul over junaid? What's that about kash

You give Gul 4 overs and he is a different bowler.
