Macbook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013 model)

I know this is not really gaming related, but who has a Macbook Pro Retina late 2013 model?

It's amazing, first time I have tried Apple PC's and I can not for the life of me go back to a Windows PC now!
-Amazing screen
-Fluid and intuitive OS
-Amazing hardware
-Best thing the price depreciation is a lot slower than that of a PC equivalent, so makes sense to pay the extra for it

I had just bought a Dell XPS 13 with an i7 Processor, 8GB ram, and 256gb SSD. I still have it (right next to me in fact), that just feels ancient going back to it. Hardware is nice but the OS is dead. Worse yet, I bought it for £1k mid last year, I'd be lucky to get more than £750 for it now on eBay, which after all the fees and what not comes to about £600-650! Almost a £400 hit in 6 months Never again!

Anyway back to the Mac, to the people who have one, any advice on what the best softwares are for it? Best games? Any tips and tricks? How does FM2014 run on it? I have the i5 version with 8GB ram and 256gb SSD. I'm going to be doing a lot of big data work on this, should have gone for the 16GB ram version thinking about it, but I really thought I'd just buy it to see what all the hype was about and then sell it swiftly after getting bored with it. Well that's not going to happen now.

I'm also looking to buy one of those Korean 2560x1440p res monitors from eBay, I guess it'll go nicely with my mac when I connect it to it. Anyone have any experience with those?
